Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What should I wear for my massage?

A: Wear comfortable clothing to your massage appointment.  During your massage you will be asked to undress to your comfort level (fully clothed - fully nude or anywhere in-between) you will be draped with a sheet and we will only un-drape the areas that are being worked on.  Rest assured, we are very modest with our draping, and we will never expose you! Most people choose to undress fully, but clients are welcome to wear underwear if its more comfortable for them. 

Q: Do you accept walk-ins?

A: Unfortunately, we do NOT accept walk-ins at this time. There are not exceptions to this rule. It is important for us to keep our clients safe, and private. This also allows us to respect the massage schedule, and keeps the massage therapist focused on each individual client before and during each session. Please check availability and book online. Q: Is it okay to show up early?

A: We recommend showing up no more than 5-10 minutes early. We are typically booked up, so keep that in mind when you arrive. We ask that you sit in the waiting room and we will come out to get you when the room is ready. Please do not knock on the massage door, as we will be with a client.  

Q: What if I have trauma, past abuse, or high anxiety?

A:  We personally know how tough it is to deal with past trauma.  We are happy to accommodate people who suffer with high stress, anxiety, depression, past trauma or abuse. Please let us know and we will gladly help set boundaries for the session so you feel more relaxed throughout your massage. Every massage is truly custom, so please tell us how we can help. (Some examples of real clients include: no massage on face or neck, no hand massage, no stretching, being fully clothed, etc.). Whatever your triggers are we will kindly work with them. Our office is a safe place to heal, relax, and unwind.

Q: Is there anything I need to do to prepare for my massage?

A: Its important to shower before your massage, and drink plenty of water before and after.  For client safety, please keep in mind that clients who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be denied services. 

Q: What if I don't feel comfortable during my massage session?

A: Don't be shy! If there is anything your therapist can do to make you more comfortable just ask. If you need the table temperature warmer or cooler, music louder or softer, or if you want your therapist to use a softer or firmer touch please let us know right away and we will accommodate your request.

Q; Should I tip my massage therapist?

A: If you choose to tip your massage therapist, the usual tipping range is 18-25%. Clients should note that if they are paying for the session with a gift certificate, the gratuity was not included in the price of the gift certificate. 

Q: Are you covered under my insurance?

A: We do not accept insurance billing at this time. However, some people have checked with their health care provider and were allowed to use HSA to cover the cost of their massage.

Q: What if I can't make it to my scheduled appointment?

A: check out our late/cancel policy!

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A:  I accept Cash, Debit/Credit Cards, most HSA Cards, and gift certificates. No personal checks please!
